Zini, me & life in general

Turning 2……..

Zini Uvach:

Well, to tell you the truth, it was great inside mummy’s tummy…you know i could sleep whenever i wanted to, the food reached me, i didn’t have to reach for it, no pollution, all in all i was pretty much protected & content….But due to following reasons i decided to come out:

lately it was becoming a bit cramped (what with my increased size)….

Mummy Uvach:

Hmmm….At the rate you were growing, Doctors had to suggest an early immediate delivery to get you out….

Zini Uvach:

Also, that tub of butter scotch ice-cream, Pani-puris, Chaats & other delicious things that mom sent to me every day through umbilical chord were pretty inviting, i thought of trying then 1st hand (though i feel cheated on this part, mom has developed an obsessive compulsive disorder, she doesn’t let me eat any of those tasty outside stuff, iΒ haven’t had my 1st ice-cream till date, they have been cheating me with Shri-khand – well don’t tell mom, but i looooooooooooove shri-khand too ;))

Mummy Uvach:

Well Zini, the after effect of all those foods are still seen on my body…i’ve realized importance of healthy food, thanks to you, so now i too try to stick to home-made healthy food & offer the same to you…(yeah, you can call it obsessive compulsive disorder, i tend to go overboard with whatever i do) And BTW, i know that you loooooooooooooove shri-khand πŸ˜‰

Zini Uvach:

probably you know that my mom talks a lot . i mean she can talk at any time in the day, and when she starts speaking there is not stopping. Somebody had to check this, so i decided to volunteer. Now, when i sleep my mom doesn’t speak at all!!!

Mummy Uvach:

Hahaha…I talk in hushed tones when you sleep, so i manage to speak even then, and better, i’ve started blogging to unleash my thoughts on unsuspecting people….. πŸ˜› Dikko!!!!!!!!!!

Zini Uvach:

And mom is very goofy. She can also bump into things as big as a door just like that, can break plates and glasses at the drop of hat, so it was high time someone took the situation in the hand and who better than me… Now, she has started walking very carefully, or else she may knock me down….Though results are not 100% but it’s better than before.

Mummy Uvach:

Well, yes i’ve improved on this part, the number of plates broken by me in past 2 years is only 4, well let’s not talk about the glasses though!!!!!!!! And i haven’t knocked you down while walking (it’s a big achievement!!!)

Zini Uvach:

And the most important of them all is that, even when I was inside mummy’s tummy, i could feel that ocean of love around…I mean my mom, dad, my Dada-Dadi, my Aaja-Aaji, my uncle-aunties, didis, bhaiyas, friends, Β everybody sounded so much in love with me, that too even before seeing me, so i thought of checking how it will be when i came out…and believe me it has been better than what i expected….

Mummy Uvach:

We all love you very very much baba & will keep loving you, you made the best decision in coming to us……Happy Birthday….

Zini completed 2 years in this world on this 31st May…..

“Uvach” is a Sanskrit word meaning “said” (Well i thought of showing off my Sanskrit Skills, but please don’t ask any questions in Sanskrit)……

      • well, i think Zini might be thinking this, though i can’t say for sure πŸ™‚
But i keep recording everything that comes to my mind so that when Zini grows up, she can know 1st hand how our life is now πŸ™‚

      • Oh i meant when u let her know someone has wished her β€˜Happy Birthday’ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ And the thought behind these posts reaches out so sound and clear !!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Hope this comment doesn’t land in spam 😦

    • Thanks a lot Smita!! Will pass on wishes to Zini…
Well no ice cream till date, i have been making shri-khand and passing it on as ice-cream, see i have the higher degree of obsessive compulsive disorder of not letting her eat anything outside ;), though she had outside cake and chips on her b’day for the 1st time this time…
      “Aai cream” so sweet….
This comment indeed landed in spam, don’t know why!!!

  4. ha ha.. wonderful post πŸ™‚ and birthday wishes to the little Zini

  5. That was so very innovative of you ZM….

till date we have ‘krishna uvacha’ and ‘vasudev uvacha’

completely enjoyed ZM and Zini uvacha….you should covert this into a series I say πŸ˜‰

I too looooooovvveeee shrikhand….when I was home last week, I was digging into shrikhand and mangoes all the time πŸ˜†

We see Zini eating very healthy food from now itself…but do indulge her once in a while from our behalf πŸ˜‰

Kya re ZM…birthday ek hafte pehle tha aur abhi bata rahe ho 😦

    Anyways, dear Zini….belated happy birthday… πŸ™‚

    • Thanks re Visha…..
Shri-khand and mangoes hai hi aisi cheeze, i too love them…And please don’t talk about your G’nagar visit…i got jealous all over again 😦
Arey, it’s not that Zini eats ghas-phus, i make cakes, cookies, dosa, dhokla, handvo, sandwiches, samosas, kachoris, sakkar para and whatever she likes (how do you think i had all those cooking mis-adventures?!?)
But yes, i’ll have to come to terms with the fact that i can’t always ensure that she gets home made food once she starts her school 😦
Arey, with preparation for Zini’s b’day party i was very busy and my net too stopped working…
Thanks for the wishes, Visha πŸ™‚

      • hehe…ok..i wont talk abt my visit again thik hai πŸ˜›

        oye..when did i tell Zini eats ghas-phus…or wait…do u label healthy food as ghas-phus πŸ˜›

she is just 2 and u make so many things…wow…she has got a talented mom πŸ™‚

so party bhi ki…wah wah…so uska update kab milega??

      • Sorry, you didn’t say ghas-phus!!!! and no, i don’t label healthy food as ghas-phus or rather ghas-phus as healthy food πŸ˜‰ what i meant was that she is normally indulged πŸ™‚
arey mein itni talented hoti to cooking misadventures thodi hote???
Party ka update in the next post!!! it was nothing big, only her friends from our flat…

  6. Wishing Zini a wonderful birthday and may God bless her with the bestest in everything..

Good that you had put that P.P.S.. Now, you escaped so many comments including mine that would have asked “what is Uvaah” πŸ™‚

    • Hey Thanks for all the wishes and for dropping by!!!!

Well, my Sanskrit knowledge is limited to few words πŸ˜‰ , Uvach is one of them…

  7. Belated Birthday Wishes to Zini…Was smiling while reading the post..nice one πŸ™‚
And same pinch..S has also not tasted ice cream till date and also chocolates,,I share the same OCD with you πŸ™‚
When our girls meet, I am sure they are going to love complaining about us and plot together to have these forbidden things..

    • Hey Thanks Nithvin!!!! Where were you??
Yeah, i am sure, girls will crib big time about our OCD πŸ˜‰
But, i am realizing, that once she starts school, i won’t be able to ensure that she gets all home made healthy food.
though i can’t stop her from having anything but i hope to give her good and healthy eating habits which will last life time…

      • right here dear πŸ™‚ just pressed down with work and stress..
true, school is different, but some schools (at least in the KG level) have strict menu of home made healthy food and don’t allow junk food..was lucky to find one such play school for S and even her regular school where she has started her LKG has a food chart menu which encourages home made food..but don’t think they are as strict as at her playschool..

      • OhOh, what is causing stress to you? Take care…
It’s great that you found the kind of school you wanted, but here i am not able to find any such school..the schools give food here and kids don’t carry their food, we went to a couple of them but everywhere it’s the same story..

      • Thanks t2m..Am much better now :).I started on a post about my stress and it’s lying in the drafts incomplete..hope I finish it soon..
You are in Noida? check if there is jumbo kids school near your area and if it would suit you..That’s where S did her playgroup and nursery..You can send home made food if you are sending her there but if you are planning to leave her at the day care there, then I think they give the kids their own food..

      • Thanks Nithvin, will check this out…
Do publish your post soon, take care πŸ™‚

    • Thanks a lot πŸ™‚
Hmmm… no ice cream yet πŸ™‚
This home made mango ice cream sounds good, let me find out the recipe πŸ™‚

  11. […] already know from this post that Zini completed 2 years this 31st […]

  12. lol @ the after effect of food is still visible on your body πŸ™‚ hehehe same story of all new moms no? πŸ™‚

oh ditto on being talkative ZM…I’m a born talker πŸ˜€ now you know na how I can manage daily blog posts ? πŸ˜‰

oh ZM how similar are we going to be ….I can bump into anything while walking…though I seldom break things πŸ˜‰ but yes that does happen to πŸ˜€

Such a lovely post..I think this is the bestest from the lot that I’ve read so far on your blog πŸ™‚

    • Arey seriously, some moms eat so well during the pregnancy, that after 2-3 months of delivery they are back to the original shape, & you wonder whether they had a baby!!! But i am not one of those lucky mom 😦

You too love to talk and bump into things!!!! it feels so good to know that you understand me!!! Now i know how do you keep the blog posts coming (& the comments)!!!

Thanks re Scribby…my hubby too thinks that this one is the best πŸ™‚
